About Liane Wuthrich
I have been in Retail Management for 20+ years. I have had the privilege of being an Assistant Manager of stores with Sales volumes as high as $20M and also the benefit of being a Store manager for specialty retail stores making just over $1M. Each of these experiences has taught me the importance of the customer experience and the need to train and develop my team.I currently work at Boscov's as the Misses Department Manager, where I have been since 2017. A majority of my retail career, I worked for dressbarn, Inc. for 15 years, as a Store Leader, and Kmart, Inc. as an Assistant Manager for 7 years. When I worked for Kmart, I was an Assistant Manager for stores ranging form $15M - $23M. When I was a Store Leader for dressbarn, I ran stores from, $800,000-$1.2M. I admit, I like the personal customer service of a smaller retailer, but I still enjoy the pace of a big boxed retailer. In both situations, training and development of the team is crucial to the success of the business. Planning and organizing the daily operation of the business, is key to a smooth operating business that represents the brand. It's important to ensure the timely flow of goods per the visual guidelines and to maximize profitability. As a Store Manager, I recruited, interviewed, and hired top talent. I also regularly reviewed, coached and counseled the team. In summary, I know what it takes to run a profitable store with excellent customer service scores. I know how to treat a new customer like a member of the family and to keep those repeat customers happy, every time they walk through the door. My teams have all been well trained, engaged, and eager to do their best at customer service and merchandising. I enjoy specialty retail, big box retail and everything in between. What I am most proud of is, I always ran a store where the associates were happy and engaged, and the customers enjoyed their shopping experience.
Listed skills include Retail, Team Leadership, Store Management, Visual Merchandising, and 30 others.

My role as the Misses Department Manager is to make sure my team is providing excellent customer service and training them and developing them in all aspects of running the department. This includes straightening, merchandising, and ad sets. Everyone on the team rings a register and is responsible for promoting the Boscov's Credit Card. When I was promoted to the Misses Department Manager, I was also offered the opportunity to take on the role of Manager On Duty. In both roles, I was responsible for the entire operation of the store, in the absence of the Operations Manager and Store Manager.
