Worked on the NPD ME team designing a state-of-the-art medical robotic system.Took ownership of the design of a subsystem with components ranging from structural assemblies and mechanisms to electronic enclosures and wiring harnesses.Worked with a multi-disciplinary team to define design requirements. Worked closely with outside suppliers on DFM and quality of components and prompt delivery.Conducted design verification through physical testing and structural calculation. Received UL approval and FDA 510K clearance.Actively supported production of newly introduced systems. Root caused and solved production issues.

Researched the auxetic behavior of metamaterials with patterned voids.

- Taught the laboratory sessions of:MECH 151L - Finite Element Analysis MECH 10L - Engineering DesignMECH 160L - Modern Instrumentation MECH 15L - Introduction to Material Science- Set up course curriculum and instructed students in the use of engineering software packages. Designed and set up laboratory test equipment

- Initiated the design of an automatic fixture for the manufacturing of a new robotic arm. The fixture reduced the cycle time from 30 minutes to 15 minutes, and significantly reduced the technician’s involvement during the procedure.- Validated a newly introduced manufacturing process by designing the hardware for the production sample testing

- Conducted the mechanical design and development of a flat slide throttle body to achieve desired tumble flow characteristics- Performed the design and analysis for the CVT transmission clutch and variator components for engine drive cycle testing and performance optimization

- Oversaw an engine-to-chassis integration project using Pinnacle’s second-generation engine and an in-market scooter chassis; evaluated major roadblocks and engineered all necessary modifications to the components for a safe and robust vehicle build- Participated in the design and build of an induction motor engine dynamometer for drive cycle transient condition engine calibration- Designed various engine testing related mechanical systems including a portable fuel flow measurement system accurate to 0.075L/h and an intake air temperature, pressure, and humidity control system- Developed and troubleshot the control strategy and hardware for the in-house engine control module

- Taught engineering students machining techniques and the proper operation of power tools- Maintained shop machines, ensured the proper functioning of the machines and repaired them upon malfunction

- Calibrated Lambda 3.8L V6 GDI engine for -20°C cold start while using E85 fuel- Conducted study on the limp-home mode of a consumer vehicle paddle and throttle assembly- Conducted study on the Continuously Variable Valve Lift technology on a consumer vehicle- Took charge of editing Delphi Heavy Duty & Off-Road Vehicles Emission Standards Booklet
