As the Chief Learning Officer at AERDF, the Advanced Education Research & Development Fund, I co-lead a nonprofit initiative that supports scientific discovery and invention in student learning, well-being, and opportunity. With over 20 years of experience in education, I have a passion for creating and implementing learner-centered, evidence-based, and socially just solutions that serve the diverse needs and values of communities.My expertise lies in the intersection of learning design and learning engineering, where I leverage my EdM in Curriculum, Technology, and Education Reform to create innovative and impactful experiences for learners of all ages and backgrounds. I have worked in district, charter, and private schools, as well as founded my own consulting firm, World Class Education, where I help educators, organizations, and governments design and deliver joyful and effective learning experiences. I am also a former secondary English and science teacher, a published author, and a proud father of two.
