CurrentDirectly assists the Director of Food Service, overseeing 32 schools and 18,000 students. Maintains files, projects and calendars to allow for efficient operations, required reporting, and timely responses to high volumes of inquiries.Processes free and reduced meal applications according to federal and district timelines while maintaining strict confidentiality. Prepares and submits required federal, state, and district applications, grants and reimbursement claims to the Michigan Department of Education (MDE). Expert in the food service POS system (Meal Magic) used for meal tracking, payment and reporting.Manages monthly food service financials, invoice payments, and daily cash deposits for all schools. Maintains and updates confidential employee records, including FMLA filings, district and State of Michigan personnel reports, employee schedules, time sheets, and pay reports.Provides exceptional and timely customer service to all stakeholders, including parents, students, school administrators, district and food service employees, via email, telephone and in-person.Assists with hiring, on-boarding and training of new and existing associates.
