I assisted JEO's hazard mitigation planning team with various plans and projects. I utilized my GIS mapmaking skills and prior hazard planning research knowledge to contribute to the team. I helped facilitate meetings for the public, specific stakeholders, and planning members.

In this position I gained hands-on experience with transportation planning. I completed traffic studies, fulfilled signage requests, installed trail counters, documented pedestrian refuge islands, and more.

As a teaching assistant, I led weekly discussion sections while being a full-time graduate student. This role allowed me to work on my public speaking skills and to refine my ability to communicate materials to those who are not familiar with the concepts. Through this position I am gained the ability to effectively convey expectations. Being a teaching assistant has matured my adaptability in evolving situations.

Through this position I navigated and lead diverse groups of prospective students and their families around the campus of the University of Iowa; informing them of student life, campus layout, and historical information. My time as a tour guide has provided me with a unique customer service job in which I learned to be adaptive, personable, and a student leader. This job has also improved my public speaking skills.

I served as a resource to over 40 residents in a residence hall. I built personal relationships with my residents over the course of a school year and scheduled one-on-one conversations with all of them. I utilized time management skills to meet job expectations while being an involved, full-time student. I facilitated an inclusive community and obtained conflict management mediation. I became capable to give negative feedback and constructive criticism in a respectful and concise way.

I advocated for environmental policies. I contacted Iowa's representatives through letters and phone calls. I mobilized people in the community to reach out to representatives as well. During this internship I pitched media ideas and managed a social media platform where I produced content. I led phone banking sessions and navigated relational organizing. I planned and implemented events for team-building and informational purposes. I contributed ideas for the organization's future success.

I refined customer service skills, and gained in-depth knowledge on gardening and indoor house plant care. In this position I would count down the registers, cared for the indoor plants, and help stock inventory. I would routinely close for the store and was a trusted employee to 'count down' the registers.

I had a face-to-face customer service role at every shift. I developed my customer service skills and work ethic while a high school student. I interacted with a wide variety of people with different ages, cultures, and economic backgrounds
