I am currently on a 6 month placement as an IT communications intern at Atlas Copco within Vacuum Technique Information Systems. I have many responsibilities in this job role. My job is flexible, and I adapt to where I am needed.Key Responsibilities:People management, communicating with a variety of stakeholders. This involves creating and sharing communications across a variety of platforms, as well as assisting key presentations and meetings. I collaborate with a variety of different teams.Working within the Transformation Office, doing tasks similar to project management. This is to support the transformation within our enabling function. We are adopting a new way of working and organisation design, embracing agile and scrum methodology.Working with inclusion and diversity. For example, I have helped set up and run a mentoring program for women looking to start a career in IT.Working in an early careers team to run our company social media account. This involves working on different platforms, such as LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook etc. We manage this through the platform Sprout Social.

I gained my NPLQ in February 2023, to prepare for the job I planned to take up at Team Bath once I started University. This gives me a qualification in basic first aid training, lifesaving, and CPR and defibrillator training. I have 1 year of experience as a lifeguard, ensuring the safety of swimmers in public pools.My key responsibilities included monitoring swimmers, being vigilant to step in early for accident prevention, and applying First Aid care. I also had to communicate regularly with other lifeguards, and ensure the cleanliness standard of the pool was kept to a high quality. Experience in this job role means I am quick to respond, and can remain calm under pressure.
