My name is Libby Divers, and I am currently a sophomore undergraduate student at the University of Tampa. I will graduate in May of 2026 with a major in new media and a minor in computer science. While at college, I established and grew my passion for creating digital content. Some of the courses that fascinated me most were Digital Media (FMX 210), The Science of Computing I and II (CSC 101 and 102), and Creative Coding (FMX 311), where I first learned to code in different languages and create digital art through new softwares. Outside of the classroom, my experience in the Honors program allowed me to express my passion for learning and become a better well-rounded student. As a member of the University of Tampa Honors program, I took many challenging classes that encouraged me to think outside of the box and work on things I am passionate about, such as my thesis. In addition to the Honors program, I am a member of the University of Tampa cheerleading team, where we represent the school at numerous events and encourage school spirit all over campus. We provide encouragement to other sports teams as well as compete on the national level. I am also a member of the Delta Zeta sorority at the University of Tampa. I have been given the opportunity to serve on the chair board of this chapter as its Formal chair for 2024. Through this organization, I have been able to volunteer and give back to the Tampa Bay community, meet numerous people and make lifelong connections, and learn how to work with others as I have planned and held events for the girls in the sorority. Off-campus, I work as a nanny for many families, providing personalized care for the children in their homes. This role required me to administer care while meeting each child’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs.
