I am currently the Executive Director of Trees For Tomorrow, Inc., responsible for the overall management of "Trees", an accredited residential environmental science and natural resources facility promoting sustainable forest management and stewardship. My primary responsibilities include "big picture management", including fund-raising, strategic planning, building partnerships and collaborations, and providing meaningful professional development for staff. My overall professional goal is to propel Trees For Tomorrow into its next 70 years in a sustainable, responsible, and creative fashion using strategic thinking. Previously, I was the Project Manager/Project Liaison and National Training Specialist with the Conservation Reserve Program Readiness Initiative (CRPRI) through University of Wisconsin – Extension. As the Project Manager/Project Liaison, I was responsible for managing the communication components of the $3.2 million grant, awarded through the national headquarters of the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) in Washington DC, by initiating and facilitating all related CRPRI meetings. As the National Training Specialist, my responsibilities included overseeing the CRPRI curriculum development process, which included face-to-face, hybrid, online courses, and their deliverables. In addition, I coordinated and managed project deliverables by working with four regional teams throughout the country, hired through subcontracts with the University of Georgia, University of Minnesota, Penn State University, and Montana State University.I am also the founder/director of the FIELDS program (Field Investigations, Environmental Learning, Decision-making by Students), a new environmental science/science education initiative operated through Brown County UW-Extension. Within the FIELDS sustainable model, I am responsible for staffing, budget management, program development, and garnering funds through partnerships, grants, and program revenues.
