Used GIS and other mapping technologies to prioritize land for conservation and identify paths forward for the organization. Engaged with volunteers, landowners, and donors to facilitate successful events. Attended online training for ArcGIS Pro and developed resources to teach other staff to use the updated software. Participated in land stewardship visits and species surveys in the field.

Worked with a faculty mentor to investigate wild rat populations in Richmond, VA and worldwide. Urban epidemiology research included trapping and dissecting wild rats, cataloging tissue samples, researching zoonotic diseases, and planning future pathways for study. Collected and processed data on rodent populations from city databases, then analyzed data using R software. Currently collaborating on a paper describing the population analysis. Presented population analysis research at the International Urban Wildlife Conference in June 2023.
