Transdev is a leading public transport company. Transdev Melbourne provides bus services for a third of the city’s bus network. It has more than 1,200 staff, 49 public bus routes and 546 vehicles.While managing WorkCover claims, premiums and injury rehabilitation for all staff my achievements included:- Introducing early intervention for injury management thereby minimising lost time injuries,- provided EAP and injury management mentoring for managers,- Reducing Transdev’s claims rate over 18 months as a result of the early intervention processes I introduced.

Form 700 is a formwork construction business with over 1,000 employees accross 3 states, Victoria, NSW and SA and previously WA. During the 8 years at this role, I managed HR and Workers Compensation. My roles included managing the recruitment process, employment matters, apprentices and the payment of incentives, all visa holders, sponsorship of Visa holders, and industrial matters of a legal nature.Selected key achievements - 8 consecutive years of premium reduction in Victoria in an environment of a rising remuneration. Our claims rate here is almost half the industry claims rate. In South Australia our claims experience is about 25% of the industry. In NSW we are waiting to clock over 3 years to realise our claims experience against the industry - End to end management of injuries and claims founded in an early intervention model and including RTW plan preparation, consultation with stakeholders, conciliation conferences, preparation of documents for legal proceedings etc. - Introduction of a system to manage approximately 100 apprentices and 70 visa holders - Set up systems to manage work experience students - Built up an archive data base for all archived personnel files. - Introduced a full electronic data base for current employees

While the manufacturing plant was in Ballarat, the sales team was Australia wide (for workers compensation management)Selected key achievements - Reduced the number of injured workers on modified duties fro 10% to <1% of employees - reduced the number of staff required to manage workers compensation claims administration from 3 EFT to 0.5EFT
