I am a second-year doctoral student in Texas Tech University's Clinical Psychology program. I received my B.A. in Psychology with an emphasis in research from the University of Nevada, Reno. My research interests include identity salience and centrality, stigma, and non-bereavement (i.e., non-death) loss and grief, particularly as they pertain to family members grieving the loss of a person to incarceration. I have held positions in the field, such as a Day Habilitation Specialist at HSI-WARC for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, where I assisted people served with ADLs and implemented over 50 habilitation plans with individuals in the program. My clinical experience includes working as a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Worker at MapleStar Reno, where I worked with juvenile clients and their families to teach emotional, cognitive, and social skills to help children integrate into adoptive, foster, and biological families. I am also a psychologist-in-training at the TTU Psychology Clinic and I have worked with family caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s Disease or Alzheimer’s Disease Related Dementias, where I have implemented various treatment protocols (e.g., behavior activation; cognitive processing therapy). I previously worked as a Research & Operations Manager at MindMed where I provided project support in the development of digital treatment technology in conjunction with psychedelic-assisted therapies and assisted in clinical trial operations. I also have experience in project management and logistics, policy drafting, and business administration and operations.
