During my time as a casual learning support assistant at The Endeavour Co-Operative Academy, my roles and responsibilities include welcoming the children into the class each day, supporting them with their learning, as well as supporting them in day to day activities. I feel that during this time, my patience, empathy, communication and adaptability was showcased and working with children with special educational needs has taught me a lot which I feel will benefit me in my future practice.

During my second year of university, I was placed in a Key Stage 2 classroom at The Divine Mercy RC Primary School in Manchester. I found that this experience greatly improved my confidence when it came to teaching different age groups, managing behaviour and my professional development, including engaging with parents/carers on a regular basis.

For my first placement at university, I was placed in the Nursery at Broughton Jewish Cassel Fox Primary School. This helped me to understand the patience, care and empathy that is needed to work in Early Years, as well as developing my knowledge of how children develop socially emotionally and physically.
