Waitress
CurrentI worked in a zero-hour contract where Miles Recruitment sent me out to Bowood Hotel, and to Castle Combe to attend customers and provide a satisfactory service for them. Working in both of these places taught me how to interact with customers and fellow co-workers, and how to work on tills, handle money, and how to take orders. Although they were both waitressing jobs, they taught me different styles of working, although both of them were quite fast-paced. In Bowood Hotel, I worked in the event halls in which I brought customers their food and drinks, cleared away tables, polished cutlery, and provided a satisfactory customer service. I also covered a shift for Kitchen Porter so have helped in kitchen preparation, and dishes and cutlery cleaning. In Castle Combe, I worked in the Cafe, where I had to take orders, prepare food, register their order on the till, and handle money transactions, and then clean up tables and the Cafe after closing. Both of these places required long hours, sometimes even having to stay late, till approximately 1am.
