About Libby Robins

Hello! I am Libby Robins and I am a student at the University of Michigan. I am majoring in Elementary Education. I have always had a passion for helping children develop the same love for learning that I have. I am a member of the Michigan School of Education’s TEPA program which is a pre-admittance to the University’s Junior admitting program. I have volunteered in many different tutoring programs and have also achieved over 1000 hours of volunteer work with children. I was a founding member of the Lakeview chapter of the Penguin Project, a theatre group for children with disabilities.

I taught alphabet letters and sounds, used pre-reading techniques, and worked to each student’s level. I worked with students from the ages of 6 to 22. I was able to encourage students who were frustrated, overwhelmed, and discouraged in school due to their language barriers.
