Previous editing/proofing projects:-Copy editor and proofreader for the IAPP's U.S. Private-Sector Privacy Fourth Edition, the principal text for the IAPP’s Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) program, published April 2024-Editor of PhD candidate's final dissertation regarding an executed case study on new teachers, adhering to APA Style. Dissertation was 40,000 words and I executed my role in one week. Responsibilities include noting and crafting a style guide throughout the process, proofing text, editing for consistency, checking format and communicating consistently with author. -Copy editor of client's three full-length fiction novels before author's self-publication. Each novel was around 100,000 words, and I completed my proofreading within a month per novel. Responsibilities included communicating with author and developing editor/author relationship, proofreading manuscript in preparation for transmittal, and editing for proper grammar and punctuation. Novels were written in British English, which I fixed per request to American English. The novels were also historical fiction and as copyeditor I verified historical accuracies.

Ensure articles are up to date, factually accurate and grammatically correct for Forbes Advisor's vertical on credit cards and travel rewards. Regularly revise and rewrite articles to optimize flow and voice while maintaining information accessibility for the consumer. Write first-person articles about my own credit card and travel reward experiences. Review past published content and assess with other departments how to improve existing content for what it offers and how it is constructed. Knowledge spaces include credit cards, travel rewards, loyalty programs and consumer finance.

I copyedited and proofread a daily newsletter, four weekly newsletter and one monthly publication.Served as one of the organization's two subject matter experts on English Copy Style and assisted as a core SME in creating the IAPP Style Guide, much of which I wrote based off my own personal style guide since starting in the role.
