About Libby Carleton

With 20+ years experience in various fields, I've developed a keen adaptability. As an operations/sales support and management professional, and customer specialist, I have supported a variety of different departments and groups; requiring me to be flexible in whatever environment I happen to be working. I've also become adept at maneuvering through many different types of data and order entry programs throughout my career and am proficient in many software applications. My expertise in database management and programming has come from self-teaching and intensive personal study of each program. My amiable and open nature gives me an advantage when it comes to dealing with my colleagues and customers. I was selected as a main-level trainer in the last three positions I've held and had much success teaching others to do what I do.I've written over 150 poems and several short stories, compiled a book of poetry in the summer of 2014 ; which I submitted to the Academy of American Poets that year. I continue, now, to work toward my goal of becoming a published poet. When living in Atlanta, I partnered with an outsourced company through the Gwinnett County DHS to offer internship opportunities where participants gain work experience, receive mentoring and are encouraged to grow professionally. This program was dear to me and was happy to be a part of it.I am conversational, read and write in Spanish; and continue to work on improving my ability to communicate in Spanish more proficiently.I love to meet and talk to new people and my many years of theater training have prepared me to think on my feet and roll with the punches. I really do live by the phrase, "the show must go on." No matter what comes my way, I'm ready to work and make things happen.
