My name is Libby Haydon, and I am a 2nd year student at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University-Bloomington. I am currently pursuing a finance major with plans to add a double major or co-major. I also participate in Dance Marathon on the logistics committee, and I am a standing member of Kelley Student Government on the student life committee. I grew up in Minnesota and moved to Georgia before my junior year of high school. The transition taught me a lot about perseverance, the importance of building new connections, and embracing change. I came to IU because I wanted to expand my horizons and discover new opportunities by pursuing an education at a nationally ranked business school. I am passionate about collaboration, integrity, and organization. I am strongly grounded in my values and ethical principles. I thrive in situations where teamwork, inclusivity, and open communication are welcomed. My personal values, skills, and interests around respect, integrity, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving can complement organizations who are looking for individuals that align with a shared vision. My short-term goals are to gain valuable experiences within Indiana University and industry internships that diversify my exposure to individuals, groups, and disciplines. My long-term goals after college are to add value to an organization that embraces new talent, values diversity of thought, develops and retains their employees, and empowers change so that the culture of an organization can make a positive difference internally and within the communities that they serve.
