When I take on responsibilities, I am committed to seeing them through.I displayed this as a scientist, a chemistry PhD student and undergrad. When I pivoted to work in the software industry in 2008, I committed to learning about the software development life cycle on the job. I became a leader in my organization, improving our product while improving the communication and collaboration between testers and developers.When I became a mother, I spent the first years applying that same intensity to this new role. As my kids became more independent, I rediscovered interests outside the sciences and software – writing and communication. I began writing non-fiction essays which have been published in literary publications and was interviewed for them.In other work, I took on reviewing the output of AI systems to improve them. I took the discussions of top executives on topics like AI and told the stories of their round table conversations.
