CurrentAs principal of Libby Raab Architecture, Libby is committed to the craft of custom design projects of all sizes. She is captivated by the way space, materials and light can change the way people experience their environment. Libby has a special interest in the way built form and human behavior are linked. She designs with the client’s individuality and values top of mind, translating these into personal, meaningful spaces. Libby is involved with the greater architectural community and served as President of the AIA San Mateo County Chapter Board of Directors in 2018. Prior to that she served on the Board of Trustees at the Nueva School in Hillsborough for 7 years assisting the school during a period of strategic growth and capital improvements.Born and raised in Indiana, Libby studied psychology at DePauw University before moving to Boston where she studied architecture at Boston Architectural College. After graduation she worked with firms specializing in healthcare and corporate design then briefly established her own firm in 1999 to focus on residential projects. Libby relocated to the Bay Area in 2002 and joined Menlo Park based Ana Williamson Architect in 2004 where she enjoyed working with many clients on a variety of custom residential projects until 2015.
