I have more than 10 years experience in the media, which has seen me work in advertising, journalism and public relations.Starting my career working for Manchester based media buying company, Feather Brooksbank, where I assisted with pitches for new clients and negotiated deals to buy advertising for companies such as Matalan, I then moved to London to study for a Press Association Certificate of Journalism. From there I undertook an internship at the Sun newspaper before becoming a senior reporter for Trinity Mirror where I sourced, investigated and wrote news articles including covering high profile court cases at the Old Bailey.From 2010, I worked as an assistant editor for five business-to-business publications before becoming the editor of a residents’ publication delivered to more than 100,000 occupants of London’s second largest borough. From 2011-2013 I continued working for the London Borough of Hillingdon as a media officer, where I prepared media launches, worked with organisations including ITN, Newsnight, Panorama, the Independent and the Times, and trained senior staff in media crisis management.
