I am a Certified HEDIS Compliance Auditor (CHCA).My areas of expertise include the HEDIS compliance audit, Medicare Data Validation audit, and URAC Pharmacy Data Validation.Prior to working at Attest Health Care Advisors I earned my Master's in Public Health , and have experience working in healthcare policy. Expertise includes knowledge of legislation, regulation, and issues related to healthcare. Skilled at developing professional relationships and providing critical insight.I chose to pursue a Master’s in Public Health at Benedictine University in to broaden my health care knowledge and to learn about disease prevention, health promotion, policy development, research, and regulating health systems. During my studies I focused on Health Care policy. I began my journey in Springfield, Illinois working with the Illinois Health Care Association. I was able to directly participate in lobbying activity for Long-term Care facilities. We aimed to improve long-term care facilities and Medicaid. I was able to work with Legislators, the Illinois Department of Public Health, Illinois Department of Human Services, and Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services. I decided to further educate myself about health insurance and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act by working for the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association in Washington D.C. I worked in the Office of Policy and Representation’s State Affairs department where I researched policies and performed regulatory and legislative tracking. Through this experience I have learned about issues related to the Affordable Care Act and health insurance. In addition to my Graduate degree I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My undergraduate curriculum was filled with many science classes that educated me in the principles of modern biology and provided me with fundamental critical thinking and analytical skills.
