Having been established in 2005, Gender DynamiX (GDX) is the first registered Africa-based public benefit organisation to focus solely on the transgender and broader gender diverse community. The mission of the organisation therefore to advance, promote and defend the rights of trans diverse and gender diverse people in South Africa, Africa and globally.Under the auspices of a Board of Directors, my role and function include:i. Ensuring effective, efficient and strategic management of the organisational financial and human resources;ii. Manage a dynamic team of 13 full-time employees;iii. Lead initiatives around financial resource mobilisation and strategic partnership development through networking for overall organisational sustainability;iv. Represent Gender Dynamix on diverse strategic advocacy platforms, technical working groups, consultative fora and community engagement initiatives; andv. Guide and monitor organisational programming in health, education, law and research to ensure meaningful and significant outcomes for trans and gender diverse persons.
