I lead the effort to define PMI’s long-term AI strategy and accelerate the company’s adoption of AI technology, while addressing the associated risks and challenges.

I create a deliver the long-term digital product innovation strategy for PMI's Smoke-Free products.From selecting the electronics in the product to the design of new physical/digital experiences online or in Brand Retail, passing by the definition of the IT and data strategy, my role is to grow the bond between consumers and PMI's brand portfolio by delivering innovative, sustainable, and premium experiences for all of PMI's future electronic products.

Companies need to innovate, but innovating fast is harder for large corporations, so I partnered with startups to accelerate innovation. I led the Innovation Outpost in the Silicon Valley to build partnerships with startups and other corporates, to be ahead of the curve and meet future consumer needs as they emerge. To identify possible future scenarios, we performed several rounds of foresight to better understand consumer, technology, regulatory, and social evolution, and identify long-term strategic innovation corridors. Part of my work was to change the perception startups had about PMI - many who wouldn’t have agreed to work with a tobacco company in the past now work with PMI to contribute to its Smoke Free Vision.

Give our teams the right information, at the right time, and tailored to their needs to accelerate IQOS scale-up.I designed and built the internal communications and knowledge management strategy to help 100+ market teams deliver the transition to smoke-free products.Implemented tools to accelerate the digital transformation at PMI.Launched internal communications campaigns to inspire and engage PMI employees.

We had this great new smoke-free product that heats tobacco instead of burning it. And we made a huge success of it.- Set-up the PMO to support strategic planning, program management and information management- Planned and ran the commercial launch of IQOS - Designed and tested in-market many business models to grow IQOS By end of 2022 - 7 years after launch - IQOS has helped almost 25 million smokers stop smoking and switch to smoke-free products, in 64 markets, and contributed to ~1/3 of PMI's net revenues. IQOS consumables represent a 8.5% market share and are the #2 nicotine brand.Awards:- Recognition for Excellence Award

A global transformation, made to work locally.- Developed the Business Case, defined the HR Operating Model, systems solutions, change management and deployment methodologies for the HR transformation program in Asia- Delivered on-time and 16% under budget, and achieved over 90% customer satisfaction by deploying an innovative Operating Model leveraging affiliate strengths while ensuring global consistency

In addition to the Planning and Deployments team, I was promoted and got to manage the 30 people in the off-shore development team that supported the New Horizon deployments.I also set up a small, informal “R&D” task force to explore opportunities for better, faster, cheaper implementation methods. A global transformation program, to drive a shift in the company culture- Built and led the Program Management Office, and deployment teams- The program spanned 7 years and 97 countries, involving over 200 team members and impacting 50’000 employees

In order to prepare the HR Systems landscape for the "New Horizon" program, I aligned all technical objects, configuration, data and interfaces of the legacy HR system, and then migrated it to the new SAP HCM system.Over 100 countries were in scope, and it was the 2nd time experts told me that my project was impossible to deliver, and the second time I proved them wrong.Starting with the core team and learning from the SHARP Technology Upgrade project, we grew the team to 30 people and delivered the project on-time and 7% below budget. There wasn't much hypercare either. At the same time, I also organized the move of the New Horizon program team members - including myself - from Lausanne, Switzerland to Krakow, Poland, where our Shared Service Center was located.

The first time someone told me that a project was impossible to deliver successfully was when I joined the “SHARP Technology Upgrade” project. It’s true that this project was a handful: a world premiere with the objective of upgrading a legacy worldwide SAP system, migrating the data from code-pages of 27 languages to Unicode, and change the database technology from Unix/Oracle to Wintel/MSSQL. All at the same time. I successfully implemented an innovative approach, and we delivered on-time, and 15% below the initially estimated budget. Our error rate in converted master data of below 0.0003%, which is pretty good indeed.

As an Analyst, I started managing my first multi-million-dollar projects. I designed and implemented the processes and systems for PMI Duty Free’s "Volume & Pricing" program, a custom-made Decision Support Tool for most of the corporate functions (Logistics, Finance, Business Planning & Development, Sales, Marketing and Human Resources). In parallel, I designed, built and managed the global Duty Free help desk. As my parents would say, I finally got a 'real job': Temporary Administrative Assistant. That’s all I could find with a degree in music. My job was to catch up with piles and piles of backlog input: type the orders in SAP, ask for supporting documentation, match goods receipts and invoices, send for payment. Repeat.Very quickly I understood that there was a problem waiting to be solved. I bought a book on Microsoft Access 2000 and over the following weeks I built a tool that automated all the data processing, kept track of overdue requests and sent reminders. The backlog melted like Olaf the snowman under the sun, and I got in trouble with the IS team for building a totally non-standard piece of software. I owe it to them to recognize my potential despite my rogue programming and they hired me as a Trainee. During my traineeship, I learnt how to manage projects, enjoyed building and running a customer support help line, and designed bullet-proof business processes that are still in use today.
