I am Libo Chen, a Ph.D. candidate who will graduate this December from the China University of Geosciences. I am also a visiting Ph.D. student at the University of Western Australia from Sep 2022 to Oct 2023.I am interested in the geotechnical design of offshore foundations and dynamic pile-soil interaction. During my PhD, I focused on the research of offshore pile foundations. I developed a theoretical framework and optimized the prediction of horizontal dynamic parameters. I have published seven research papers in journals such as Ocean Engineering, Computers and Geotechnics, and Soil Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering as the first author. I have also served as a reviewer for journal such as Ocean Engineering, Canadian Geotechnical Journal, Advances in Civil Engineering. In addition, I conducted numerical simulations, field tests, and model experiments related to the horizontal bearing characteristics of piles in various projects, conducting in-depth research in the field of geotechnical engineering.
