I am seeking the career I always wanted since I was 10 years old: joining a baseball organization. It's been a long road from that dream as a 10-year-old, but I have many unique skills which others don't have, and these can help a baseball organization in various ways. I began in the nonprofit world and built experience in public speaking, leadership, and teaching.I transitioned to a career in education, specifically as a high school librarian. I have Masters degrees in Divinity, Education and Library Information Science. I have been an adjunct professor for two colleges, teaching library courses and developing my own courses which were added to the curriculum. My own library career has embraced the trauma-informed library philosophy, the only such model which I believe provides for a sustainable future for public and K-12 libraries. In 2023, I published my first book: When the Babe Went Back to Boston: Babe Ruth, Judge Fuchs and the Hapless Braves of 1935. (McFarland & Co.). I am a SABR member and have published dozens of peer-reviewed biographies and articles. I was also the co-editor of two SABR books. I have also served as teacher's union president, pushing for the rights of teachers and their working conditions, rallying community support, and refusing to back down on labor issues. Now, I am back where I started, seeking to package my gifts of research, writing, communication, and public speaking to help a baseball organization, I have recently completed a course on baseball scouting & GM through Sports Management Worldwide and am planning on further courses.
