Hive is a collective dedicated to creating a better future for farmed animals. As a co-founder, my role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities aimed at advocating for the interests of farmed animals including cultivating community growth and engagement on our Slack platform, facilitating insightful discussions among diverse stakeholders to exchange knowledge and ideas, and leveraging my professional network and background in animal science to address critical gaps and challenges. In particular, I lead on IAA's AI-related initiatives, including coalition building and organizing the 2nd AI, Animals, and Digital Minds conference on June 3rd at the London School of Economics.

- Spearheaded a cage-free egg campaign, which involved close collaboration with student groups, dining hall administration, the university's board of governors, nonprofit groups, and media to successfully pass a $250k a year budget increase earmarked for purchasing 100% cage-free eggs for the 4th largest university dining hall operation in the nation. - Lectured at Animal Vegan Advocacy Summit 2022 on “Plant-Based Diets: What the Science Says” with 25k views on Youtube. -Part of the founding team of Northwest Philadelphia Cat Trappers, which grew from 5 to 30 individuals within one year. Coordinated the trapping, spay/neuter surgeries, and release/adoption for over 500 community cats. -Engaged with faculty members in the Animal Science Department to modify the euthanasia protocol on Rutgers Farm to include the use of pharmaceutical sedatives prior to CO2 administration. -Co-founded The Medical Vegetarian Society, successfully building and sustaining an active community of students interested in plant-based nutrition. Organized a variety of events including guest speakers, panels, film screenings, and bi-weekly potlucks focused on the role of food in healthcare. Facilitated a trip for members to attend the International Conference on Diabetes in D.C. Successfully negotiated with Rowan University administration for the approval and establishment of a student-run organic garden on campus.
