Currently I am teaching 9th and 12th grade ELA, AVID, and AP Literature and Composition at Century High School. During my current employment with the Hillsboro School District, I have taught 7th grade English Language Arts, Language Arts, and 7/8th grade Art while I was teaching at Evergreen Middle School, and then later on a 6th grade self-contained at Reedville Elementary. Between 2015-2018, I taught 6th-8th grade Language Arts, 7th grade Science, and Art at Groner K-8. During 2018-2019, I taught freshman English, freshman support, and AVID at Century High School. During the 2019-2020 school year I taught Art and 7th Grade AVID at Poynter Middle School, as well as was the AVID site co-coordinator. For the 2020-2021 school year, I was at Century High School teaching Art and Digital Photography. Previously I have been on the ELA Elementary Leadership team, but I have also been on the Math Leadership team in Hillsboro. During my time on the math team, I helped to create district-wide math summative and formative assessments for 6th grade teachers that are aligned with SBAC and Common Core Standards. In addition, I also teach art classes for the Hillsboro Online Academy such as digital photography, fashion, world art and culture, journalism, and art appreciation. During my time at Hillsboro School District, I have also served as the electives department coordinator and yearbook advisor at Evergreen Middle School.The trainings I have received while working for the Hillsboro School District includes AVID, ELD, CM, SIOP, UUR, GLAD, AIMS3, and Math Best Practices.

During my time working for Ridgewood, I taught first grade at Somerville and Willard Elementary Schools, which is where I also received training in the Reading and Writing Workshop models from the Teachers College of Columbia University. In addition to a home and school connection within my classroom, I also helped to tutor a few students during the summer to help further their reading and writing capabilities.
