My favorite quote is Howard Thurman's "Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” I believe my purpose in life is to help others find what it is that "makes them come alive." I do this work with college students as an educator and coach.I am a genuine, positive higher education professional who has worked with thousands of students over the past 12 years using self-assessments, coaching conversations, mind-mapping, and reflection in the classroom and in one-on-one coaching sessions help them discover who they are and how they would like to bring their gifts to the world. I bring a caring nature, enthusiasm, and an innovative mindset to my work to help students feel empowered as they explore better understanding themselves and possibilities in the world of work. I have developed courses, workshops, lessons, and experiential learning activities to help students develop their mindsets, grow their skillsets, and expand their understanding, confidence, and self-efficacy as they explore and make the most of opportunities. I also enjoy creating and delivering innovative workshops that encourage self-awareness, career development, personal growth, and wellness. In my free time, I love spending time with family and friends, cooking, hiking, and yoga.Specialties: differentiated instruction, curriculum development, formative and summative assessments, coaching, academic advising, career development theories and best practicesClifton Strengths: Strategic, Positivity, Communication, Woo, Arranger
