Engineer II, Project Controls • Serve as the lead project controls liaison for as many as ten research projects simultaneously for the Deep Submergence (DSL) and Advanced Engineering (AEL) Labs.•Develop the detailed work breakdown structure (wbs) and critical path schedule for the mechanical, engineering and fabrication phases of WHOI’s largest award (220M), the CGSN project.•Successfully develop the wbs and mechanical engineering critical path schedule for the engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction phases of the new Alvin submarine.•Serve as the Project Manager for a 2M state of MA CGSN matching grant. Develop the controls system and implement. Coach the Principal Investigators (PI’s) on the fundamentals of project management. Develop the detailed wbs structure and critical path schedules for each of the five sub-projects. Develop the Earned Value Management System (EVMS), progress report and change order system. Work closely with each of the PI’s on schedule updates and delays, review monthly costs and develop estimated costs to complete (ETC’s). Closely monitor project progress in order to accurately report the earned value as part of the quarterly progress report. In following the systems I created we were able to complete the entire project scope on time and under budget by 150K which allowed the purchase of additional equipment.

Field Scheduler • Serve as the field scheduler for the HOVENSA oil refinery waste water phase II project (86M). • Develop and maintain the resource loaded, logic driven, level IV critical path master project schedule.• Perform weekly schedule updates including in-depth critical path analysis reviewed each week with the client on site. • Develop and maintain the field progress measurement system including forecasted to complete material quantities and man hours by working closely with the field team comprised of three engineers and forty laborers.• Monitor and validate subcontractor progress and relay issues and concerns to the home office ensuring our contractors met their deadlines. • Produce detailed monthly client report including written narratives identifying schedule issues and delays and working with management and team members to develop recovery plans allowing us to keep to the contracted period of performance.

Cost Control Analyst • Performed detailed cost analysis for a 100M lump sum project for the engineering/design and procurement of a terminal system at a new LNG import terminal in the Fujian Province of the People’s Republic of China.• Work closely with the lead designers and engineers in developing monthly estimates to complete and monitoring of the actual costs.• Work with the buyers to identify equipment costs and include in monthly project cost forecasts.• Work with engineers and designers to monitor productivity and update the project controls supervisor of areas where productivity was slipping. • Produce monthly internal reporting package including detailed cost variance analysis and review with the Project Manager. Scheduler • Maintain resource loaded critical path schedule for the 100M LNG import terminal project.• Work closely with engineers and designers to ensure progress is accurately reflected in the schedule.• Work closely with buyers to ensure equipment arrival dates are accurate.• Run schedule updates monthly and review with project manager. In cases of schedule slippage develop recovery plans.• Attend weekly client meetings to discuss schedule issues. Identify and relay potential schedule delays and develop recovery plans as necessary.

Cost Analyst/Scheduler • Project controls specialist for government contracts at Otis Air Force Base (MMR).• Provide project planning, budgeting and forecasting, accrual identification, scheduling, and in-depth analysis for multiple reporting requirements including cost-reimbursable, fixed price, and time and materials contracts.• Monitor cost and resource control performance.
