Newly Economic Development Director at the City of Laval, Lidia lead for 9 years as CEO TechnoMontréal, the information & communications technology cluster of Greater Montreal, Lidia Divry has over 25 years’ experience in local and international economic development. Her expertise combines both the planning and development of industrial and R&D parks while supporting businesses in their growth plans.Previously, Lidia was Vice-president of Business Development at TechnoParc Montreal, the largest research and development industrial park in Canada. In this role, she actively contributed to the development of major innovative projects. She participated in developing the concept of a centre of excellence for the aerospace sector as well as the Hubert Reeves Eco-Campus, a 20-hectare site devoted to R&D companies in the clean technology sector.Since her nomination in October 2010 as General Manager of TechnoMontreal, Lidia guides, in collaboration with different stakeholders from the ICT industry as well as social and economic partners from Greater Montreal, the different phases of the mobilizing and promising project for Montreal’s digital future: “Montreal Digital Metropolis”. This project is devoted to integrating Montreal into the network of “Smart Cities”. Today Lidia has deployed TechnoMontreal's new strategy which aims to increase the transformational impact of ICTs on each of the city’s strategic markets:.She has launched in 2018 the Excelence Centre for Retail-Tech in Laval. Lidia Divry holds a B.A. with a specialisation in Accounting from the Université du Québec à Montréal. A member the the Order of CPAs-CMAs since 1994, she also holds an MBA from Université du Québec à Montréal and University of Paris-Dauphine.Lidia Divry’s mandate is to plan and develop the economic development strategy of Laval in order to accelerate the business investiments while supporting businesses in their growth plans.
