As a policy officer in the field of energy innovation I work on policies that stimulate innovation in sustainable energy solutions. One of my current projects is the set up of mission driven innovation programmes. I also work on the governance of energy innovation policy, which means finding an effective way of deciding on topics and a way of learning and adapting.

Learning on the job program of the Dutch government. In two years I gain working experience in three different departments of which one outside the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Next to that I follow an education program about the ins and outs of the government as well as personal development and coaching.

I investigated the possibilities for a follow-up of the initiative and wrote the Letter to the Parliament to announce it. I also helped setting up the new initiative with Prince Constantijn van Oranje as new special envoy StartupDelta.During this period I also realised a Plant-e system in the garden of the Ministry (see background picture).

The Advisory council for science, technology and innovation works on advicing the government about policy in the field of science, technology and innovation. I worked on my thesis about the topsector policy energy and its effectiveness in stimulating the energy transition in the Netherlands and graduated with a 9 out of 10.

I took care of educational affairs by having peer groups of students and taking part in several education boards and committees of the Eindhoven University of Technology. Next to that, I organised several activities, was founder of 'meet the graduate' and took together with the other four board members care of the study association's operations.
