I received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D degree in electrical engineering from the National Chung Hsing University, Taichung, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 2001, 2003, and 2009 respectively. From 2009~2010, I worked on the development of the image signal processor at Prolific technology corporation. In 2011~2013, I was with VATICS Inc, where I developed the advanced algorithm and VLSI architecture of the image/video signal processor. In 2013~2019, I had been with MediaTek Inc. I worked in the algorithm development and architecture design of the video encoder for emerging video standards such as VP8/VP9, H.264/AVC, HEVC, and AV1. Since September 2019, I joined Tencent America LLC. Currently, I am working on next-generation video coding standardization. I am also working on the video encoder optimization of AV1 and VVC. My major research interests include image and video processing, video coding and compression, and VLSI architecture design for digital signal processing. + 4 years of image/video signal processing and digital IC design experience+ 6 years of algorithm and architecture design experience of video encoder+9 years of encoder optimization for both of software and hardware+3 years of video coding standardization
