Developing a spatial (MRIO) analysis tool to assess the global sustainability impacts of urban food strategies - case study Almere, with a special focus on the role of the region Flevoland.

Researcher in the project team Global Resource Use at the Institute of Ecological Economics. My work concentrated on the analysis and projections of drivers, environmental and social impacts and supply chain developments related to land use and biomass demand. Projects involve a.o. Bioeconomy transition paths under climate change (BIOCLIMAPATHS), Sustainable pathways for the EU bioeconomy (BIOWAY), Land related GHG emissions of Austrian biomass demand (FWF), Land Footprint associated with Austrian biomass consumption (FWF), Impact assessments of international EU supply chains, resource use related to bioenergy policies (Friends of the Earth). Interested in ecological economics, risks and vulnerability and governance of sustainable supply chains.

Research projects in a multidisciplinary team with focus on land use, land footprint and the relation with food & agri production chains. The team moved into the Institute of Ecological Economics of the Vienna University of Economics and Business in October 2013.

Market & Industry research projects into food & agri supply chains in C/E Europe, a.o. for Rabobank, Nutreco, Dutch Embassy Budapest. Since December 2008, also working as an Associate in the Agribusiness network of Cardy-Brown & Co Ltd. Projects involve animal protein sectors in Russia, Ukraine and Hungary, Horticulture and Dairy in Hungary, a research project into (bio) food chains in Austria (emphasis biological production, sustainability, footprint and consumer awareness), a strategic project in Animal Feed & Feed Additives for Cardy Brown & Co and management of an environmental footprint calculation project for a Uruguayan-European beef supply chain.

Publishing travel guides for families with children. "Benjamin in Budapest', a city guide with daytrips and clear lists of children's activities, has been made together with Hungarian and international schools in Budapest.
