Founded DynaOptics (dynaoptics.com), the first company in the world to bring free-form optics into the camera module stack, completely disrupting the performance threshold of conventional rotationally symmetrical systems. As a member of the Academic Affairs Committee, I partner with the Provost and Faculty Leadership to create a one-of-a-kind student experience that prepares our graduates for the future. I also take a special interest in the "Writers in the Woods" program that brings renowned writers to Lake Tahoe to share their work and lead writing workshops. I feel a strong connection to the Reno/Tahoe community and these initiatives, I believe, are some of the buddings seeds of the cultural & intellectual gem that Incline Village is destined to be. Cool things you might not have known about DynaOptics: - Designed and manufactured a time-of-flight lens module that is fully integrated into a customer deployed system solution. Developed a comprehensive understanding of customer's technical requirements and built a solution accordingly, supporting the customer's trouble-shooting process at a system level, beyond our own component. - We build an artificial intelligence (AI) demo with the integrated WALA camera module as the sensor, integrated with machine learning object identification algorithms- We build an enterprise software product, uVo, from scratch, starting off as a "research tool" in matlab, to a customer-deployed v3 product with intuitive GUI / decent UI/UX- Launch a successful kickstarter campaign (over $60,000 raised) and built the OOWA brand from scratch with influencers and beautiful social media content

DynaOptics was accepted into StartX's Fall 2013 class. Historically, the acceptance rate varies between 8%-10%.StartX is a non-profit organization whose mission is to accelerate the development of Stanford's top entrepreneurs through experiential education. A Community for FoundersStartX alumni represent some of Stanford's best entrepreneurs, in fields from clean tech and bio tech to consumer internet and enterprise software.Our founders range from undergrads and masters students to post docs, professors, and Stanford alumni. We are proud to be building a community of all the top founders from Stanford.

Built this non-profit technology accelerator from the ground-up as employee number one. Dived into the deep tech of clean tech (from biofuels to solar/CSP to thermal management and energy efficiency). Responsible for sourcing, assessing and funding early-stage clean technologies from universities and national labs (eventually funding about 10 technologies), building up the Entrepreneur-in-Residence Program & all internal processes, and successfully supporting researchers to launch corporate partnerships and businesses. This alignment and execution of strategic and operational priorities enabled NIREC to secure repeated annual congressional appropriations. A highlight of my time at NIREC was when I led the efforts to successfully secure a Department of Commerce grant that brought together, in an unprecedented collaboration, the cities, Universities and community colleges of Reno and Las Vegas to create jobs. I achieved this by building an extensive network of angel investors and venture capitalists, technologists, politicians, government officials and industry partners in Nevada and California to support NIREC, coach founding teams and commercialize early-stage clean technologies.

As in any strategic consulting firm, I worked with numerous clients across different industries (listed below). A key highlight of my time at Marakon was when I prepared, engaged, pitched a senior client (as merely a Consultant, not a manager or Partner!) to win a follow-on consulting engagement.• Established case for change and financial feasibility of a $525M brand-repositioning project for one of the largest hotel chains in the world. Advised SVP of Brands of major implementation issues and challenges. • Valued strategic alternatives and validated strategy worth $4B. in the Convenience Retail Business of a major Oil and Gas company in the UK. Financial projections later used as sense-check to client’s 5-year plan.• Uncovered $320M EBIT savings in the UK business of a major German Power and Gas Provider by conducting analysis and synthesizing client interviews across 8 departments. Marakon provides premier management consulting advice that helps senior executives at some of the world's best known companies unlock and grow value. The firm had offices in London, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Singapore and Switzerland. It was eventually acquired by Charles Rivers Associates in 2009 and remains an independent consulting arm.

As country manager for Australia, I led efforts that resulted in the company’s first-ever sale into Australia.
