At Elements DC I work with young children, educating them about nature and the importance of being outdoors. Through a 6-8 week curriculum I guide a group of students in hands on exploration of parks throughout DC.

As president, I schedule practices and competitions within the team and with other universities and plan transportation and housing for off-campus competitions. My duties also include leading executive board meetings and providing the final decision on finances and voting in the case of a tie. Additionally, I serve as the primary contact for Club Tennis within AU club sports and other institutions.

As the Treasurer for the American University Club Tennis team, I administrated all financial matters involving collecting dues, storing money, and spending money. The treasurer's duties also included coordinating purchases with the President, facilitating and planning fundraisers, and determining the budget for the season.

In my position as coach for TopNotch Tennis I work with groups of 10-20 children and teach them the fundamentals of tennis over the course of the semester. This position provides allows me to work with and educate students one-on-one, in small groups, and as an entire class. Through my work I have developed a greater passion for teaching and working with children.

As an Events Intern at 1776 I organized and coordinated events for DC Tech Week and DC Startup Week along with numerous smaller events hosted at the Crystal City and DC 1776 locations. Under the supervision of Jessica Kang I assisted a collection of startups in an intensive incubator program designed to help grow businesses more successfully. While at 1776 I connected with Last Call, one of the startups in from the incubator, and connected them to a number of local restaurants, organizations, and students in the area surrounding American University.

Brattleboro, Vermont

While working at Girls on the Run Vermont, I assisted with the organization of materials such as racer bibs, race day banners, t-shirts, and other equipment. I also sorted and checked all of the racer registration and payments. I spearheaded the project of researching potential new sites in Vermont as well as put together a series of donations baskets for a summer fundraiser by contacting local businesses.
