Promoted from PD through BI to Litigation Specialist and Casualty Supervisor. P&C claim investigation and resolution from inception to closure in 1st and 3rd party claims as well as suits against the company and insurers regarding coverage, DTPA, excess, subrogation, and any other exposure. Pending of the highest complexity, serious injury, coverage, and policy limit losses. Monitor, mitigate and pay all defense costs. Work with and direct defense while working directly with plaintiff/counsel to seek fair compromise for all parties, where appropriate for each specific case. Work with management, insurers, and defense to assure cases appropriate for trial are properly prepared, mediated, supported, and presented for best possible verdict. Develop, instruct, and deploy trainings for any subject matter needed. Developed, instituted, and run adjuster mentoring program and settlement conference program. Works closely with Underwriting, Sales, and Executives to assure company practices are in line with code, statute, law, and industry best practices.
