Responsible for reorganising the Ops squad and introducing a Finance Transformation strategy so individuals were able to perform to their best and showcase skills upscaling processes and tools as the company went from start-up to scale-up. (1) Ownership of ERP (NetSuite), introducing user interviews to bridge systems and processes of the overall Finance department, proposing new or adjusted processes, system fixes, controls and data governance (2) Idealisation of a Finance roadmap with clear priorities, deliverables and KPIs (3) Ownership of ancillary tools such as invoice OCR, Bank reconciliation, Payroll and employee expenses, credit cards and Bank integrations (4) Enhancement of digital warehouse management, forecast vs demand processes, market and customer trends, brand onboarding (5) US and UK payroll processes roll-out (6) Support to new products from a fraud management and payment operations perspective, partnering with multiple departments.From November/2022, I have been leading the Transactions team (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Recs). Bank reconciliation dropped from 120 hours/mo to 60 hours/mo getting to a T+2 cadence, introduction of supplier data management and bulk payments reduced payment run process from 68 hours/mo to 20 hours/mo, and more.

First hire of Finance Innovation, growing the team to 12 members and structured across 3 different cells (ERP specialists, Finance automation & analytics and Main Data management). (1) Implementation of ERP in 5 months (NetSuite), further along own and stabilise ERP for scalability according to the company’s growth (M&A initiatives), as well as other financial applications (Avalara) for automated invoice booking (2) Mapping and automation of processes by penetrating the overall Finance structure (A/P, A/R, FP&A, Tax, Acct.), Procurement and Logistics resulting in +20 ‘bots’ (3) Lead integrations w/ legacy systems, Salesforce and Data warehouses (4) Conceptualize and drive in-house tools along with Engineering, such as supplier homologation banking data (5) Implementation of PBCS/Hyperion and Alteryx.

Various projects between Finance and Engineering teams to ensure tax products were developed according to technical requirements. Main challenge was to drive and enhance the development of an internal tax compliance software in which tax and financial returns were entered, stored and managed internally by each team around the Globe. The software fed from the company's ERP (Oracle) ensuring seamless and coherent data from one platform to the other. Special achievements were (1) Enhanced the software to comply with local and regional legal requirements and internal controls (2) Designed and launched a global tax payments dashboard, having conceptualised and created its logic to ensure accuracy w/ Oracle’s treasury module (cash out the door) in all countries. Project managed Jump’s (micro-mobility) operational launch in multiple countries coordinating Finance, Legal, HR, Ops and other various departments.

Main focus was to ensure efficient tax and logistic planning to the many business segments GE works with. Achievements were tax savings that ensured the continuity of businesses such as GE Wind in Brazil. (1) Tax planning mainly to obtain tax savings (i.e. restructure supply chain, request special regimes, redesign tax flows, excess tax credits monetization strategies, evaluation of judicial thesis etc) (2) Tax clauses' analysis in Local and Global agreements.

Incorporation of all LATAM FinOps functions to Brazil’s CoE. The project pilot focused on the Andean Region and Mexico, where processes were designed to ensure compliant data into the ERP (SAP) including touchless invoice processing. Continuation of the project ensured VAT and WHT automations. Expansion to the Southern Cone Region was added to the CoE's scope in Brazil a year later.

Worked as a consultant providing various clients with tax planning advice, mainly focused on tax and logistical savings. During the last 6 months at PwC as a staff loan to Hewlett Packard (HP), my main achievements were (1) Creation of a sales platform containing tax rules and scenarios for the many sales' request combinations (2) Project managing for the automation of modules in SAP (MM, SD, FI).
