I dreamt of finding an adult whom I could take into my confidence. The language of words was too direct, however, to convey that wish – but not the language of pictures and play. Would I, one day, be able to create something that could help parents and supervisors in education, nurseries and health care better understand children’s wordless language?The DollsVilla is the answer. It is delight. It is a place apart; a safe haven for children that can be or become whatever they wish. After a working life in journalism and management of information resources, I decided in 1999 to start my own company centring wholly around the DollsVilla by Liliane®, the first sustainable and exclusive house for 12” [30 cm] dolls, and their cars.The DollsVilla is now meaningful to thousands of children every day, in Europe, US, Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, Canada.
