As an HR intern I was able to look into and take part in different functions of HR, such as recruitment, training and coordination during my internship.Considering my recruitment activities I screened databases and job boards, pre-screened candidates by telephone, organized interviews and interviewed candidates both as a spectator next to my experienced recruiter colleague to learn as much as possible, but I also represented the HR myself. I took part in the recruitment process for both blue collar and white collar vacancies. Recruitment-related I would also highlight how I managed to find and try new recruitment channels (job boards, Facebook groups) we have not tried before to target students in order to fill our intern positions. Throughout this experience I enjoyed the most how I got to know interesting candidates, kept in touch and supported them the whole process and was able to strenghten my communication and confidence.Besides the recruitment process I helped my training specialist and HR coordinator colleagues with training and labour documentations. I kept several spreadsheets and databases up to date for example the employees' critical and non critical trainings they should complete, attendance forms, qualification database. I prepared handover and application forms, certificates of completion and made tests in the Course Garden e-learning system.My HR coordinator collegue entrusted me to take inventory of the whole workforce's missing documents or data changes (such as job descriptions, employment contracts, medical certificates etc.) from time to time. I took part in ad hoc tasks I got from my HR Business Partner and HR Generalist colleagues for example helping out in HR projects or making a creative company communication.
