(Fasteners, Die casting, stamping parts) – My role in this department is to be on charge of Series purchasing for Metal components for Hella Mexico plants for projects that are in mass production, I’m on charge of suppliers in Asia, Europe and Mexico, I’m responsible of engineering changes, suppliers relocation, supply chain transfers from Europe to Mexico for current components, working very close with all Mexico plants, project, quality, logistics and sales team. I prepare business case and cost analysis to be reported to the top management located in Germany as well as commodity strategy to achieve Hella’s goals including savings and avoid material shortage and/or stop line with the clients. Management of Series project for VW, FCA, BMW, Audi, GM, Nissan, Paccar and other OEMs. Achievements in this position: tooling transfer without any risk from Germany to Mexico, increase suppliers’ panel in Mexico to obtain costs & logistics benefits, components & trials on time to production.

(Fasteners & Machining parts) – My role in this department was to be on charge of purchasing for Fasteners and Machining parts, working very close with suppliers and the 12 plants of the group, negotiate and nominate all new sourcing programs quoting, comparing and analyzing budget vs price, nominating the best supplier (quality, price, savings), I had been working very close with Logistic and Finance team in order to find a solution for any issue that we can have with the suppliers. As direct buyer I prepared a commodity strategy to obtain the overview for each commodity and next actions to achieve Bocar’s goals including, savings, relocation, new sourcing and special projects. I worked very close with each supplier coordinating a supplier profile to have a better control of all the purchasing amount and next steps to improve commercial agreements. In this role I’m developing a tool to have better commercial agreements (levers of negotiation).

Raw Material Buyer - Steel My role in this department was as global buyer, I was involved with steel material purchasing, in charge of sourcing and resale process working very close with Service centers and mills in Europe, Asia and Mexico, I was on charge of new sourcing project working with suppliers to obtain RFQ’s, comparing prices with steel market, negotiating prices and nominate the best supplier establishing annual contracts, I was coordinating and monitoring budget sheet for all materials team, working on savings for 2015 and 2016, and developing supply base in order to have more options and obtain benefits for the company. Also, as global buyer I was on charge of global strategy working with different teams around the world (EMEA, APAC, LATAM & NAFTA).

Powertrain PPM - During this period I was directly involved with project purchasing, localization, sourcing (prepare all RFQ packages, follow up until supplier nomination) and Nissan powertrain project follow up for different commodities (metal, plastic, harness etc.), financial analysis (budget vs real), cost comparison, reports to top management located in Japan and develop communication skills with different areas that gave me a better control to deliver information on time and accomplish milestones.Planning Administration – In this department I was directly involved with follow up of CPN’s to PO’s issuance and work very close with the plants to planning these requirements, coordinate purchasing trainings, support Certificates of Origen activity with legal area, coordinate internal audits such as HOPRA and develop procedures such as Special freight process (flow, RACI, formats).

Project Buyer - During this period I was directly involved with project purchasing for GM, Ford and Nissan. Direct contact with suppliers from all around the world. Prepare project purchasing documents such as VRF, NDA, RFQ, cost breakdown etc. Negotiations regarding project productivities, supplier locations, project follow up and other activities until project SOP. During this period, I was improving my knowledge for automotive industry and purchasing department as well as negotiation and analysis skills.
