In December of 2013, I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Marine Biology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. For over 8 years, I've been actively working in the Marine education field as an educator, primarily working with grades Pre-K to 5th. I've had the opportunity to develop educational programs for outreach posts and school groups of various ages. My passion for our oceans and teaching have influenced me to share my knowledge and inspire younger generations for a brighter, more sustainable future. In 2013, I became co-manager of Kula Estate Coffee with my partner Brandon Martin. Managing a 2.5 coffee farm has given us the opportunity to implement sustainable and organic practices to produce a high quality product. This has given me yet another opportunity to educate our local community and visitors to our islands through tours and hands on experiences. We had the opportunity to manage and run operations for 4 years. I served as the Director of Education at the Maui Ocean Center leading a team of inspiring educators. With the mission to foster understanding, wonder and respect for Hawai'i's marine life and our overall ocean ecosystems. Currently, I work for Maui Huliau Foundation a 501 (c)(3) non-profit founded in 2010 to provide unique environmental education programs to Maui's youth.
