I graduated this past May from Muhlenberg College with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health and Dance. Throughout my undergraduate experience, I have conducted in class research combining these interests, focusing on the potential benefits of dance and different movement styles in relieving chronic pain and inflammation, with a special focus on juvenile arthritis. Through the Shankweiler Scholars Medical Humanities program, I have had the opportunity to explore the interdisciplinary aspects of medicine and how to approach and treat patients holistically. My research in that program has focused on the Blue Zones and how they approach maintaining good health and wellness outside of traditional medicine. I have held two summer internships at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, where I have done research on FDA guidelines for pediatric drug development, developed departmental resources, and presented to the CMC Regulatory Sciences Department. I worked as an academic tutor, student conduct advisor, contributing editor for the academic review, Resident Advisor, and Hall Director throughout my time at Muhlenberg.This fall, I will go on to earn my Master's of Public Health from Boston University.
