I graduated from Ball State University with a BS in Biology in December 2022. While at Ball State, I worked for two years as a Peer Tutor with the Learning Center. In this job, I was able to help students one on one understand concepts in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Math. After graduation, I joined AmeriCorps and spent a year and a half serving as Food Access Coordinator for Knoxville's Community Development Corporation (KCDC) in Knoxville, TN. In this role, I focused on improving food access for low income residents at KCDC properties. I also worked with other non-profit organizations like The United Way and Second Harvest Food Bank to conduct research into food insecurity in Knoxville's low income communities. As of Fall 2024, I moved to Pittsburgh, PA and started working towards earning my MPH in Infectious Disease and Microbiology at the University of Pittsburgh. My concentration specifically focuses on infectious disease pathogenesis, eradication, and laboratory practice. I also started working part time as a student research assistant within the IDM department within the Pitts Men Study.
