http://www.mkeroboco.org/The Milwaukee Robotics Coalition aims to bring events that raise awareness and engagement in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) throughout our community. The initial board members and officers of the MRC began as mentors from FIRST Robotics Competition Team 1675 who desired a vehicle for providing financial services and volunteer support for robotics initiatives in the Greater Milwaukee Area. As a certified non-profit, the MRC can provide assistance with holding finances for teams as well as provide a service to connect volunteers eager to share their knowledge and skills with groups that need them. As we grow, we intend to implement workshops and events to teach others about aspects of STEAM.I was invited to join the Board of Directors for the MRC in my capacity as an attorney, fundraiser, and project manager. The Development Committee is responsible for tasks necessary to establish the MRC as an organization that can grow to serve all robotics teams in the Milwaukee area. This includes creating donation policies, forming a contact database of current and prospective donors and stakeholders, developing and implementing fundraising efforts (including grant writing), and educating prospective sponsors about the MRC’s function.

We provide logistical support to organizations in the planning and execution of special events, conferences, and fundraisers. This includes budgeting, marketing, promotion, fundraising, registration, vendor selection and negotiation, presenter coordination, and general project management to insure all aspects of the event run smoothly. Organize and run a statewide program that helps protect the right to vote and works proactively to expand access to the ballot box. The objective is to ensure that every eligible voter can register, that every registered voter can vote, and that every vote is accurately counted.

I sat second chair in a 7 count child pornography jury trial which included a voluntary intoxication defense and a special plea of not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect. I secured a conviction of a defendant on an Operating While Impaired 3rd offense of a defendant who had a tested blood alcohol concentration of 0.03 causing an accident. In addition to these jury trials, I handled daily court appearances on a wide variety of criminal and civil matters on behalf of Wisconsin and Washington County.

• Won a jury trial on Operating While Intoxicated as well as several motion hearings on a variety of issues.• Wrote a winning post-conviction response brief to the Court of Appeals• Handled all aspects of civil and criminal prosecution and juvenile matters in Circuit Court including: CHIPS modification of placement, Preliminary Hearings, Plea, Sentencing, Bond Hearing, Pre-Trials• Reviewed police reports, victim, witness and defendant statements and evaluate the law to determine whether criminal charges are appropriate. Issue criminal complaints or direct enforcement agency to issue a civil ticket where appropriate. • Met with victims and defendants to discuss potential and existing criminal charges, explain the criminal justice system and legal process. Confer with victims regarding desired results of prosecution.

Work full time 40+ hours per week as an Assistant District Attorney in Milwaukee County. This included conducting jury trials, motion hearings, plea negotiations, and issuing criminal charges based on police department referrals.
