At East Coast Shelter Clinic I assisted in financial management, billing, interacted with the public and informed them about general pet care and post-surgical care, managed phone calls and scheduling appointments using IntraVet software and Microsoft Word/Excel, performed veterinary assistant duties, troubleshot computer and security issues, brought animals to different locations for more complex surgical procedures and workups, and handled daily duties including purchasing medications, supplements, and performed bank-runs, etc. • Successfully assisted in preparing and re-homing over 100 greyhounds.• Assisted 3 veterinarians in complex medical procedures and with aggressive animals. • Benefited pets of owners who could not afford average veterinary clinics to care for their animals by teaching them how to care for their pets and providing them with the necessary items, equipment, and medications to do so. • Attended and created the schedules for employees who attended the 2018 NAVC conference at the Orange City Conference Center in Florida, United States.
