*First African American woman to receive a Harvard MBA, an experience that taught me how to "bounce back" when faced with adversity, obstacles and isolation.*Founded a business during the tumultuous 1960's when it was not customary for women to become entrepreneurs. Operated the company for 25 years and grew it from $150,000 to $20 million in sales with more than 1,200 employees. Currently, as a speaker and coach, I use my varied experiences to help others find ways to turn rocks of adversity into stepping stones of achievement. *Authored my memoir, "The Road to Someplace Better: From the Segregated South to Harvard Business School and Beyond"*Awarded Alumni Achievement Award by Harvard Business School, its highest award bestowed on alumni.
