I am the Director of Administration at one of the leading continuing medical education companies focused on remedial ethics/boundaries training. I am relocating from Florida to the Northeast. I am originally from New Jersey and am looking for a new career challenge. I began as a part-time assistant at PBI in a position that didn’t previously exist within the company, and rose to the position of Director of Administration in two years. Over the next four years, I trained myself in all company procedures and protocols; worked closely with the CEO and other department heads to identify weaknesses in our growing company; and created new policies and business structures to enhance overall organization and efficiency for more productive company operations. As Director of Administration, I work with the CEO in the planning of educational events throughout the year. This involves developing relationships with personnel at hotels and universities, and organizing various senior faculty, attorneys, and other authoritative guest speakers. There is a great deal of responsibility that falls solely on my shoulders, which drives me to be meticulous, organized, and self-motivating. I streamlined our event planning logistics to build a stable foundation for scalability, which contributed to a 48% growth in profit over the past four years. One of my proudest accomplishments is the creation of a client resource portal to improve information output and the collection of course materials. I worked closely with our IT department to develop this portal, which ultimately allowed me to devote more time and focus on ways in which we could increase sales, improve the client experience at live courses, and review and utilize performance-driven data and data analysis. As a department head, I am a leader, but I am also a team player with other departments to explore innovative ways to improve our company both internally and for the optimal educational experience of the client.
