I get to work with both Lock Haven University and my community partner STEP INC, to work on creating more sustainable projects and programs that are focused on improving the quality of life and eliminating poverty for community members. While the focus of my project will be toward housing initiatives, I am being given the opportunity to look at every aspect of my community action partner STEP INC.

I was given the opportunity to learn more about the B Corp movement as I worked on getting the evaluation as complete as possible for the company. I was also able to do some work on creating an employee handbook that could be used when it comes time for the company to expand. This opportunity allowed for me to experience the similarities and differences in polices between the United States and Australia.
