Responsible for overseeing the adaption and implementation of a drug and alcohol prevention program, Incredible Alternatives, implemented in the Ferguson Florissant School District. Adapted and wrote curriculum. Supervised and trained program staff. Taught both the third and fourth grade program. Prepared and organized all materials for both programs. Built and maintained relationships with principals, counselors, teachers, and school personal for all 17 elementary schools. Worked with district staff to create an implementation schedule for all components of the fourth grade program for all 17 elementary schools. Assisted in planning and hosting family, community, and school events. Supported the data collection for research through Missouri Institute of Mental Health (MIMH) by administering, distributing, and/or collecting assessments and surveys. Collected and prepared documentation for grantors, Children’s Service Fund (CSF). Collected, organized, and analyzed internal program data.

De La Salle Middle School

Lead team of teachers, administrators, school counselor, and cooperating school districts to identify and evaluate students with special needs. Assist in writing Individual Service Plans (ISP). Coach staff on understanding, planning, and implementing teaching techniques, student diagnosis’, and curriculum and classroom adaptations/modifications. Observe and provide feedback to staff for behavior, environmental, and academic improvement. Assist in managing and tracking school/student behavior data. Edit education section of Charter School application. Met with and maintained contacts with special education charter school consultants and numerous special education consultants. Assist with writing procedures including special education procedures. Lead monthly management meetings. Coordinate Missouri Assessment Plan (MAP) Test.

Lead team of teachers, administrators, and cooperating school districts to identify and evaluate students with special needs. Assist in writing Individual Service Plans (ISP). Coach staff on understanding, planning, and implementing teaching techniques, student diagnosis’, and curriculum and classroom adaptations/modifications. Provided variety of trainings as needed. Observe and provide feedback to staff for behavior, environmental, and academic improvement. Assist in managing and tracking school/student behavior data. Work with individual and small groups of students on specific areas of weaknesses. Substitute in classes K-8th grade. Administer standardized assessments (DIBELS, DIAL-3, Woodcock Johnson).

Classes of 5-8 students who are 3-5 years of age. Classes are integrated (total of 12-18 students) two to three days a week and self contained one to two days a week. Responsible for writing Individual Education Plans (IEP) and attending all IEP related meetings, maintaining students’ active files, and training and evaluating teaching assistants. Develop and implement lesson plans based on IEP goals and school curriculum. Create and implement behavior plans based on individual student and/or classroom needs. Use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to teach new skills based on curriculum, IEP goals, and behavior plans. Hold leadership roles on numerous committees, including Positive Behavior Supports (PBS). Mentor new teachers. Teach a variety of staff development workshops.

Worked in clients’ homes and/or a clinical setting to provide ABA based on functional behavioral analysis (FBA) completed by a BCBA with clients from 3-8 years old. Took data on goals and provided input for treatment direction based on data and observation. Taught parents how to use ABA techniques to assist their child’s progress. Provided information on child development to guide treatment decisions. Left position due to family emergencies.
