About Lillian Smith
I am currently looking for environmental science and GIS work in the Portland area. I have previously worked as a Cave and Karst Resource Assistant at the Rocky Mountain Regional Office for the USDA Forest Service. I recently graduated from the University of Redlands with an Environmental Science BS with minors in Spatial Studies and Physics. In my research, I worked on mapping karst sinkholes in Puerto Rico with the U.S. Geological Survey and through my senior capstone project. I presented this research at the Geological Society of America 2022 and 2023 Sinkhole conferences. I also published a first-author conference paper on this topic for the Sinkhole Conference.
